Nuts
A squirrel doesn’t think “I am planting a tree.
I will pick a good spot with plenty of sunlight.”
Perhaps a squirrel doesn’t think at all.
A squirrel does what comes naturally,
serving a purpose beyond its vision,
interconnected in ways unaware.
Oh God, let it be that way with me –
authentic,
and trusting that when I am myself,
I am living the life you had hoped,
that I am fulfilling my purpose
in the grand scheme of creation,
beyond what I could ever know or comprehend.
