Could Be
Could it be that the bad person does something good?
Could it be that the good person does something bad?
All in our judgment and perspective.
It could happen.
It has happened.
It happens all the time.
How disturbing it is to our sense of righteousness, certainly and security
that the person we admire and the person we despise
both produce the same outcomes?
Hitler loved his dog.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was an adulterer.
And it could be that we are not so very different.
Reflection and Prayer
Ask God to bring to your awareness a specific situation when you acted as a goat. Receive it in love. Imagine Jesus embracing you, understanding and accepting you, perhaps even crying with you. Then allow him to encourage you. Imagine him blessing you and sending you forth to love the world. Now recall your sacred intention. How does it connect with this blessing?
