Sent
Before Jesus sent us the Advocate,
the Father sent the Spirit to him.
While he lay lifeless in the tomb,
the Spirit arrived,
awakened him with love and to new life,
and called him out to become
the fullness of who he was created to be.
The same spirit, the exact same spirit,
is calling us out as well.
Reflection and Prayer
Consider that like Jesus, the energy of God’s love is calling you to new life. Take time to feel it in your body and in your heart. Sit with these feelings for a while to let them do their transformational work. Then welcome the resurrected Jesus, our lover, friend and savior to be with you. Do you notice how he is different and how he is the same? Sing a song together with him. Before he leaves, allow him to pray over you, hug you and kiss you. He is with you always, always inviting you to the fullness of love, joy, life and freedom.
