Three Days
Triduum can be the sacred time of the year
when we pray for our Beloved Friend and Savior…
that he will know that God is with him,
that he will know that he is loved and cherished,
that he be protected from doubt and fear,
and that he will know most of all how much
we appreciate his presence in our lives.
If all things are possible with God,
if love can conquer all things,
if God’s Spirit moves beyond time and space,
then our prayers will make a difference.
So Gracious God, let us join with you in loving our dearest
one.
Let this be the time when love blossoms in all its fullness.
Reflection and Prayer
Holy Week often is an experience of us observing Jesus and then reflecting upon ourselves in light of these observations. This year, let us companion Jesus. When he is in agony before his torture and death, put your arm around him and offer support. If it is helpful, recall others who you love that you companioned through their deaths. Recall how sacred those experiences were. Ask for the grace that this may be your holiest week ever, and that you may come to know and love Jesus as never before—not so much as someone who is in need of a savior (of course we all are), but as a very dear friend who suffers out of love with him.
