Each Day
Each day I stop and ask,
“What is it, Dear One, you wish to do with me today?”
and then I listen for a moment.
Sometimes the answer is surprising,
like to play with the dog,
go for a walk, cuddle with my lover,
or even take a nap (helps me to be less crabby).
Sometimes the answer is more predictable,
such as, “Let’s spend a little quiet time together.”
But almost or perhaps even always
the answer more deeply is,
“Whatever it is you most want.”
