Cry It Out
Good advice,
to cry it out,
to release the tension,
to clear the air for a while.
Go ahead and let go of your resistance,
thinking it will do no good,
not change a thing,
perhaps even make it worse,
make it more real.
Cry it out,
into your pillow,
on the shoulder of a dear friend,
to the inhabitants of your favorite spot in the woods,
to God,
because they are all there leaning in to hear you.
