Discipline
It’s a spiritual discipline,
to nurture an open spirit …
to pause and notice how a very particular
component of this world is loving you,
what it is inviting you to learn, to grow,
to receive that you may share,
like absolute beauty and wonder,
or kindness,
or gentle affection.
These opportunity moments are countless,
yet to open to even one is to open as to the sky.
May I breathe in this world, and honor my place in it.
Reflection and Prayer
Spend some quiet time with Jesus. Ask him to tell you about his Father (Mother), perhaps through images, stories, colors or songs. Notice how your heart responds, and then share this with Jesus. Let Jesus share with you how his love for the Father (Mother) makes him feel. Close by praying with Jesus an expression of your mutual love for the Father (Mother).
